Registration
A library card is free to any resident of the Arrowhead Library System. To obtain a library card, apply in person at the library. You must show a photo ID and proof of current address. If you are under sixteen, you must come with a parent or guardian who can show a photo ID. Library cards expire after three years but can be renewed at any time at no cost to the patron.
If you lose your card, notify the library as soon as possible. You are responsible for anything checked out on your card. If you have forgotten your library card, you can still check out materials if you present a photo ID.

If an item that you would like to check out is not available at the Babbitt Public Library, materials from other libraries in the Arrowhead Library System can be requested by patrons and be sent to the Babbitt Public Library at no charge to the patrons. Materials can be requested online at www.alslib.info under Online Catalog, or in person at the library. If requests are placed online, the website will require your library card number (located on the back of your card) and your pin number (usually the last four digits of the phone number linked with your account). The Arrowhead Library System will send an automated message over the phone once items have arrived when items are read to be picked up. Items will be sent back to their original libraries after seven days of not being picked up.
